Library
The Society manages two collections on behalf on members. There is a Society Collection that is currently in storage. This collection and details of the arrangements for access will be made available to members as soon as possible.
There is Members’ Collection and the books available are listed below. The Members’ Collection works on a co-operative basis. Members who have books that they are prepared to lend to fellow members have provided details. If you wish to borrow one of these books you should email Ken Rutter (156kar@gmail.com) and he will provide contact details for the owner. You can then make arrangements to borrow (or inspect/consult) the books. Please note that the Society is merely acting as a facilitator. The arrangements between lenders and borrowers are personal and the Society takes no responsibility for the availability of the books nor their safe custody and return. In some instances members may make books available for consultation only, where lending is not appropriate.
If you have books that you would like to make available to fellow members, please send details to Geoff Blackwell who will update the Library list. In order to meet the requirements for data privacy, you will be asked specifically to confirm that Ken may share your contact details with prospective borrowers.
The following books and material are currently available. Books are listed in alphabetical order, by author. Catalogues are listed by country at the end of the list. Some members have significant collections of material relating to Russian, Polish philately, all aspect of Polar philately and explorers. If you would like further information on these topics, please contact Ken Rutter as above.
